my firstborn... and 2 Big events.

today was a big day for my firstborn...

She recited the poem "Casey at the Bat" from memory for her English Class at school...

She dressed up in a #21 Oregon Duck Baseball Uniform...
Sweat pants...
Cleats... Baseball hat...
Bat...

(dress up... and you get some extra credit)

Sam had practiced a couple times in front of Josh & I,
we gave her some pointers...
reminding her about things she had learned this summer at CYT
(Christian Youth Theater)
about how to act out a recitation...

guess what???
She NAILED it!

Her teacher said that it was the best presentation she has ever had in all her years teaching...
and she had Sam go recite it again for all the 3rd and 4th graders.

I am so proud of my girl :)
