I try to be thankful everyday...
But I know that at least one day of the year I am focused purely on the things I am thankful for.
1. God
2. Family
3. Friends
4. A Place to call Home
5. My needs are provided for
This Thanksgiving was a quiet one...
(I know we have 7 on our own... so your thinking how could it ever be quiet?)
We are used to numbers above 20 easily... so 13 was on the small side.
But I still enjoyed it.
I really missed my brother though.
Not sure why... maybe the fact that I haven't seen him in a year???
Missed his adorable family... and my precious nieces.
But I am thankful though because we will all get to be together a week before Christmas!!!
McKenna made these for all our place settings... on her own.

"Thank God for our Family"
I want to cry... seriously how precious is that?
She was super excited to set the table and surprise me with her creation!

Table for 13 anyone???

My mom bought me some fresh flowers...
I finally got to use my new pitcher from Home Goods... love that place.

our table would not be complete without the Oregon Duck Turkey...
a few years ago the kids teacher had them make turkeys and wrap the feathers with yarn... well guess what gifts Mr. Mac got from many of his students...
Duck Turkeys in green and yellow...
I stuff them away each year and bring them out to decorate our table :)
This year it is even more appropriate since the ducks played the day after Thanksgiving.

gotta get some parade on...

and some puzzling...
1000 pieces here...

500 here...
and after that a 750... that we are still working on.
Oma... at 93 trying to avoid all the chaos!

working in the kitchen are two of my fav people...

my parents, who almost every year come up and make Thanksgiving Dinner!
getting ready to make that gravy...

Not sure how I have NO photos of any of us...
or the desserts for that matter...
or the turkey...
or any of the delicious food that was spread upon our table...
Such is life...
I guess I was too busy enjoying my family and friends...
eating,
watching football,
and getting my puzzle on.
Jaci... thanks for being "D Bomb" with my kids. They love you.
The "A's" Thanks for being part of the family and starting a new tradition with us!
My beyond awesome parents... thanks for spoiling us with the best dinner ever, for playing with the kids, & making the Costco runs! We love you.
after dinner...

you guessed it...
veged out in front of the TV...
of course Tanna had already plotted her black Friday schedule ;)
Hope you were all as blessed as we were.
Bye-Bye Thanksgiving Season... I will miss you and all your fall splendor.
{THANKS} for everything.
