health, ducks, cameras, computers, & books

Camera...

My Canon 40d is in the shop in Irvine, Cali.
It has been out of commission since the Brush Prairie Softball Tourney.

I miss it.
My little tiny camera is just not the best alternative :(

Computer...
I love my mac.

However... when you purchase new computer stuff make sure that your older stuff is up to date. My hubby bought something on black friday (yes the freak left here at 3:20am.. I can't get him to shop with me any other time of the year... yet he goes out without me on black friday!!!)

Sorry I got a little sidetracked..

as I was saying he bought something..
our computer wasn't up to date so he bought the new Operating System..
the OS wouldn't load because I have too much stuff on my computer.... SERIOUSLY???
then he goes and buys an external harddrive so I can get my photos and videos off the computer...
you guessed it... I can't get them off... it isn't working.

now we are waiting for Eric to come and save the day.
Of course I am frustrated because it shouldn't cost me anything right? AND it shouldn't be so difficult!

Health...
There were a few deaths this weekend with people associated with our church or friends we knew... it breaks my heart. One of them was a 5 year old girl from Brain Stem Cancer... I wish Jesus would come.

Sam has friend over because her great auntie isn't going to make it and the family didn't want her to see them that way. :( I love being here for my friends... but I really wish that none of us had to go through these emotionally sad events.

I have been fighting a head cold for 2 weeks... I am sick of being sick.

Just over two weeks ago my mom got news that she likely had a stroke.
She has lost some vision in one eye... and that same side of her face has some drooping... and she has a difficult time making words at times.

She had her MRI on Black Friday... we are awaiting the results.
Please pray that they find the cause... and that it is fixable.
I don't want to face the thought of not having her around into my old age.

Even with this news my parents are still living life to its fullest...
and that meant watching the Oregon Ducks play against Arizona on Friday.

I haven't talked much about my Oregon Ducks this season.. and with all the hype surrounding them you would think that I would be posting everyday.
Like I've said before I love college sports, there is something wonderfully exciting about playing just to play... most of these kids won't go to the NFL... they don't get a huge paycheck... they play because they love the game... and because they love team.

but just to be clear...

I LOVE MY DUCKS!!!
I hope they beat OSU in 6 days!
If they lose they go to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena...
If they win they go to the National Championship Game in AZ!

Books...
I read 2 books this weekend.

Bel Canto... a lovely book.
Learning to SEE - by Mary Beth Chapman... a tear jerker and and something you should all pick up and read... really makes you look at your life and appreciate it... and

LIVE IT TO THE FULLEST PEOPLE!

P.S. Gonna go live life to the fullest and read to my little man... who has patiently been sitting here with me while I type this...

Oh so true. Hope your mom is OK. I was sick for 2 weeks and it stinks bad. Get some rest and feel better. Christmas break will be here soon for you.
