So at our home we are blessed with a variety of fruit trees... 3 of these trees are apple, Fuji, Granny Smith, and Golden Delicious. Last year was the first time that I had ever made applesauce... and boy was that ever hard work... but so worth all the yumminess!

This fall we have been blessed again with apples and enough to make some great sauce. So I borrowed my friend Jenny's applesauce maker and the kids and I began our adventure. It went super smooth and we were able to get 19 quarts done in a fairly short amount of time. They all had a blast... and told me "mom we need to get our own maker so that we can do this more often!" We are all enjoying the relaxed life of the country, being able to enjoy the "produce" from the garden and now the fruit from the trees. God is good!
