Apparently we are favorites in the concert world... we always end up with someone else's children... I guess we are the only ones who are crazy enough to go where there is loud music... sing at the top of our lungs... and dance like crazy people... of course we also like to get there early enough to score great seats! Our friends love us because we will take their children!
Of course we don't think we are crazy, we enjoy going to the concerts, it is uplifting, fun, & something we can have in common with each other and our kids. I tell you there is something about looking at your children lifting their voices, hearts, & hands in song to our Heavenly Father! Not to mention the super handsome guy that is often grabbing my hand or slipping his arm around me while we sing together! :)
This concert was amazing... with many of our favorites, Addison Road (whose lead singer was 35 wks preggers), Tenth Avenue North (LOVE THEM, go grab their cd if you don't have it!!!), Hawk Nelson... not my fav.. but great for dancing... then of course JEREMY CAMP, & MERCY ME... doesn't get much better unless you are Toby Mac! To top it off... Karen Kingsbury and her family were sitting not to far away from us... so I went down by the rail and yelled "Karen" she turned and next thing you know I am taking a picture of Amanda & Karen... and then I had to jump into another photo with her (my 3rd, not that I am keeping track or anything!)
It was a great night until we got home to drop off friends children and heard about the Montana plane crash that carried fellow believers & their entire families, college classmates, and 2 of my cousin Claudia's students. It definitely put a damper on things... but we hold firm in the belief that they will wake upon Jesus return and the first thing they will see is his face.
