Tired of the rain.
Tired of the cold.
Tired of all the "winter storm warnings"
(that never come..)
Tired of high electric bills...
and high gasoline bills...
Ready
for Spring...
For my buds to bloom on the trees...
For the crocuses, daffodils, and tulips to bloom...
Ready to be able to actually walk on my lawn...
and not sink down 6 inches because it is covered in water...
and to be able to mow it and smell fresh cut grass...
Ready to wear a short sleeve shirt... and shorts...
and to get a tan...
I am just ready for something...
p.s. got the last of our new chicks tonight.
8 laying hens...
21 chicks... we have already lost one... so now 20.
note to self. do not wander away from your life source (in this case heat) in 15 degree temps.
YOU WILL DIE. just sayin.

Do the chicks let you handle them? I would love to have chickens. My husband is the most amazing man and he rarely tells me no to anything I want. However, he has very emphatically said - it's him or chickens, my pick. *grins So, no chickens for me and mine. My kids, Elleri in particular, would love the babies. I'm ready for spring to kick in also. Come on sunshine!
You are more than welcome to come see the chicks! They do let you handle them, especially when they are little (which doesn't last long) They are super easy to care for. That would be why we got so many more this year. Once you have a setup for them they are super easy.
