The End of the Season

Last week was crazy.

But one of the crazier, insane, hilariously funny moments was the end of the season soccer party held at our home..

We have 5 kids of our own...

add 1 extra for the evening...

and then add 14 more!

a toast to a fabulous season.
3 wins, 7 losses, 2 ties

a lot of fun & laughter.

pizza, salad, veggies, and root beer or orange floats...

and then for the entertainment...Photobucket
Lauren and her chipmunk version of Oh Baby by Justin Beiber...

This had me in hysterics I was laughing so hard...

that led to many of the other girls getting up doing a sing/dance off to a random selection of Group 1 Crew songs!

One of the things Penny (the awesome head coach) wanted her and I to do was tell the girls things that we noticed about them over the season, things that we appreciated, skills, etc.  That was a high point for me seeing everything/all their hard work come full circle.

I am thankful for each one of those girls.  It is weird because they all seem like my kids.  I am thankful to have had the chance to coach them.  I am also thankful for the end of a season.  For the chance to move on and try new things.

In other thoughts...
My heart and prayers are thinking of certain people in my life who are really struggling and hurting with loss.  Loss of loved ones.  Cancer.  Sickness.  Accidents.  Some days are just plain difficult on this earth and I can't wait for our Heavenly Father to return to take us home.  Until that time I pray I can be compassionate, kind, and loving...  Growing in God's grace everyday.

and in exactly 1 week from tomorrow... my bestie Lisa and family will be here!  Whoop!
