At 7:50am my phone rang...
My girls answered and handed it to me.
It was a call for me to sub.
In nanoseconds I thought "yes'
and said "no"
I had company... my friends,
and mom #2
a couple hours later I got another call
I said "no"
I chose to be a momma and go on my daughters field trip.
then my hubby called and needed me to help with soccer...
yep.
I said "no"
3 times in one day???
It most definitely is a record.
It felt good to actually be able to say no for once.
I actually was able to visit with friends & mom2...
clean my kitchen...
do some laundry...
and make dinner...
At the Parent Pathfinder Meeting that AWARE was putting on I learned this...
1. How to communicate with my daughters.
2. A lot of crazy stuff that I would really rather not know...about sex, drugs, etc. etc.
3. and these texting terms.... WHAT???
G2G - Got to go
IMHO - in my humble opinion
F2F - face to face
BTDTGTS - Been there done that got the t-shirt
NIFOC - naked in front of computer (seriously??)
TAW- teachers are watching
SAW- siblings are watching
P911- my parents are coming
LMIRL - let's meet in real life
WTGP- want to go private
YR- yeah right
IPN- I'm posting naked (so not doing this... just fyi)
SO - significant other
CRBT- Crying real big tears
I also found out that the State of Idaho has a downloadable pdf format that is 40 pgs long with practically every text ever made... if you are that into figuring out your kids texts.
My daughter has a phone that she doesn't use.
She doesn't really text... she doesn't use the phone... and her computer time is totally limited.
But the parent meetings really have been informative and interesting.
