Happy Birthday America!

I love the 4th of July... I am like a small town girl at heart. I love the old movies that show small town America... the parades, picnics, fireworks... just watching the people & wondering if their lives are as wonderful as mine... I love rockers on the porch and hanging baskets... and hot weather. (somehow the NW did not get my memo about the weather this year...)
anyway... this year my 4th of July was not exactly what I would have liked... it started off great... with my whole family together for our annual 4th family photo.

but I quickly jumped into the Honda... and Josh jumped into the Excursion and we headed different directions..
I had to take these two precious girls to summer camp.

Nona & these precious kiddos and headed to Lake Oswego to watch a parade with Jon & Mich, Lexi & Finley. I guess they scored lots of candy and had fun people watching... I wish we could have all been together.

Meanwhile back at the ranch... I dropped off two of my beautiful daughters at camp, while fighting off mosquitos... Emma teared up when I left her and it made it awfully hard to leave her.. but after hugs and kisses I loaded up with Judy and John Thompson and headed toward Lake Oswego to meet up with the rest of my family to watch the fireworks over the lake.

Lake Oswego is known for its wealthy people... gorgeous homes... and lovely hanging baskets... and many other things... :)

this guy right here makes my heart pound... I love him. I give thanks every day that God put him into my life... and made him the father of my children. Life is good when I am with him. :)

this is sweet Finley- Jon & Michelle's baby girl... she looks like McKenna, it is crazy how much they have family similarities.. I have baby pictures that looks just like this.

and FINALLY (or not)
the photo of me that Josh took... he actually took like 10 photos which I deleted every single one! He said he would not longer take any photos of me if I kept doing that... so here it is...

I hope you celebrated the freedoms that America offers
the freedom of speech
the freedom of liberty
and most importantly
the freedom to worship God.

May God bless you and your family this 4th of July.

Yeah, Steven will sit there and hold down the shutter button on my T1i so that at LEAST 10 pictures are taken of the same subject. Then, when I go to delete some of them to keep the best ONE, he'll tell me that if I keep doing that (at least in front of him), he won't take pictures for me. *sigh* I miss celebrating the 4th in the States.
