The Last Few Months.

It's no secret that I have had a really tough time staying up with my blog this Spring.
That can be attributed to many things.  (one may be my iphone) (one may be stress)

I am reminded fairly often that I am not blogging by my friends and family.
I guess there are some who actually enjoy my random updates.
And I really enjoy the therapeutic feeling I get expressing myself...
But I tell you my ipone is really distracting... and by distracting I mean  DISTRACTING.

Darn that thing is just too fun.

Anyway.  There is no way to fill you in on my life and what kind of fun things have been happening around here... but I do have some photos that can fill in some of the gaps for you.  I can't promise anything beyond that, but i will try to get back in the groove.

So... here goes.
February.

Snow... multiple times... and into April.  really?

Mustang Basketball... our girls team made it to the semi-finals of their league playoffs and lost to TVJA  by double digits.  Then they went to the PAA tourney and made it to the Championship Game after a tough & close game against EAA... they ended up facing TVJA again.  Tight game the whole time... up by 6 with just over a minute and end up losing by a bucket.

Was so proud of those girls that after the game was over and we were talking together I realized that all the 8th graders were never going to play again for us... (including my daughter) I teared right up.  It is tough sometimes to come to the end of something amazing.  Cool thing about this game was that my mom was able to come and she facetimed my dad and MIL who were able to watch the girls play.  Technology is pretty amazing I must say.

Talent Show= Loads of Laughter and tons of fun!

Josh's 39th bday and we were lucky enough to be able to go to Timbers Game & they won!  It was pretty awesome and a great way to spend a bday!

FLS at My Home.... Janelle's last book club with us just days before her move to California.  It was a tough one and noone was really in the mood, but we tried to enjoy our time together even though after that night nothing would be the same.

Spring Break
All night drive to La Quinta...
We say goodbye to our puppy Lucy.

She has a new home with my cousins Lauren and Jarred who are thrilled to have her.  Our kids were sad, but it has been for the best and now both dogs get the love and attention they deserve.

Great memories with my amazing parents, the Dickinsons, and Dietrichs.  A week of laying in the warm sunshine, walking to one of my favorite coffee shops, yummy food, shopping, reading books, laughing... and mostly just relaxing with people i love & hold most dear.

My niece Kaysa had surgery on her brain at OHSU March 22 and we came home early so we would have a chance to see her.  She is doing amazing and is such a trooper.  They accomplished evverything they were hoping too with the surgery and we are thankful for all the prayers.

I turn 39.

April.

The flu hits our house.  It has been here for 2 weeks.  I would like it to go away now and have noone else get it.  4 down 3 okay.

I FINALLY go to the ESD office and apply for my Washington State Teaching Credential (I held one when I graduated and never used it) and got fingerprinted.  A few days ago I received an email that it was being processed and they sent  my temporary 180 certificate.  Today I got an email that said in 6 wks I should have the real deal!!!

Whoot!  That means denominational and State Certified Teacher for me!  Now to see what path the Lord takes me on as I look to secure a job teaching! :)

Last weekend I went back to the beach with 5 girls from my PF unit to do our 15 mile hike... but I have some pretty spectacular pics from that post and want to give it a little more than  a highlight... so that will be my next post.... and then of course FLS from last night... and Sam's banquet... oh my there are so many things.

I of course am keeping up with Bible Study and my 1000 gifts journal.  I have also been keeping 1000 gifts on fb so you will likely see snipets of life on there as well.  I told you my iphone was distracting.

Still get worried, still get anxious, but I know my journey has a happy ending and I continually must remind myself that the ONLY thing that matters is my relationship with Jesus.  All the other stuff will somehow work out.  In the words of Team Ashley (Ashely Hackshaw of Lilblueboo.com) FEAR WILL NOT RULE.

God is good.  All the time.

I hope this finds you all well and hanging on to God's goodness in your life.
