This year the elementary & high school combined to put on a Veteran's Day program for our community. I always get emotional with these programs because I think of all the {freedoms} we enjoy because someone has gone out and fought for that right. Seeing all of our kids in red, white, and blue got me teary eyed for sure. They sang their little hearts out and it was so sweet.
The guest speaker was our very own mayor... and he gave our kids a special invite to sing next year for the community Veteran's Day program that they are planning. Our town does not have a formal program to speak of so this will be the first of its kind.
Thank you Veteran's and those who serve our country.
