at the car wash

the warm sunny days really show the winter dirt on your vehicle...
so on Sunday afternoon I got my bucket, hose, and rags...
changed into a tank top and shorts & keens...

Presto... clean car... well not so much, I actually had to scrub and clean and rinse and wipe dry... then when I got the outside looking sharp I cleaned up the inside.

I always feel bad when I get into other people's "clean" cars... I mean why can't I keep the inside of my car tidy? Should 5 kids really turn it into some sort of collection agency? I think I pulled out 10 books, a couple shoes, socks, empty trash from lunch boxes, small pieces of paper, pencils, cars, little friends from church, some sweatshirts, a coat... my list could go on. At least the front row was clean... but by Row 2 ALL bets are off! Does anyone else have this problem? Am I alone out there... or do you all have spotless cars?

Anyway, sorry to ramble... I was just so proud of myself and my clean car (for now anyway) someday when my kids are grown my car will be clean ever day... and then I will be wishing for my kids to be back in my car, so I will enjoy the mess... or at least try to!!! :)

ok, I only have TWO kids and I pull all of that out every time i get in a funk and clean out the car (NOT often!!! and definately not as often as Aaron would like! ha!). It feels like really for most of the day we live in the car, and it just gets so gross. But just wanted to tell you that NO you are NOT the only one!!!

Yes, Suzanne, welcome to the crowd! Like you said, by Row 2, all bets ARE off! Who cares how many times Mom says "pick up your trash", "take in your backpack, please", or "please don't smear on the windows!", it still gets accomplished! OH WELL!! is all I have strength left to say (in my mind, no less! :) )
