Women of Faith

For the last 8 years I have attended the Portland Women of Faith Conference.

Every year right before the event I say "I am so busy I don't really want to go..."

and then I end up going...

and I think "That was life-changing!"

This is my 6th year as a group leader and 4th in a row of taking over 50 women to the event.

Here are some highlights!

Yes.  Thank You.  NO.  (I am SLOWLY learning the NO part)

Andy Andrews.

This will be the only time you see him sitting down.  The dude has serious ADHD but WOW what a speaker!  I have read one of his books, which is currently being made into a movie.  He loves history and has a lot to say about life, faith, and family.  Super motivating!

Yum.  Pastini's for lunch in downtown Portland.

Meeting Marilyn Meburg (for like the 3rd time) at a special group leader meeting Friday night.

She was born and raised just outside of Battle Ground, and actually graduated from high school here.

Wow can these people sing.  Seriously their voices are like in perfect harmony with one another.

Brenda Warner... an INCREDIBLE woman of faith and the wife of Kurt Warner.
We spent a lot of Friday evening checking out her shoes!

Brenda stopping to see Charis and give her an autograph on her way out.

On Sabbath I was lucky enough to get to meet her and grab her autograph in the 2 books I got.

With 54 women you never know what is going to happen...
There was a lot of singing, dancing, listening, and laughing...

Friday night I may or may not have videoed the gals in front of me dancing...
from the backside... for blackmailing purposes of course!

This is what they did to retaliate on Sabbath.
We were literally ROTFL!

Tanna in high school!

Yes.  That is my face on her behind!  Oh my... my tummy was hurting after that.

Good thing we are all good sports!

So after an amazing weekend that started with an early morning run to Starbucks each day.  Hanging out with some great girlfriends & laughing till my heart was full.  I am bringing 40 women next year to my 9th event!  Can't wait.

Thanks honey for staying home with all the kids for 2 full days so that I could have this time.  Love you!
